More Fourth of July fun!

My nephew set off these two fireworks in our driveway (yes, we're outside the city limits). The second one was probably my favorite -- a rocket!

This is amazing! footage of fireworks like I've never seen before.

Hey tracey, what camera do you use? I'm kinda camera shopping and am asking around for advice.

Yeah, these little rinky-dink fireworks turned out really neat in a timed exposure shot. Glad you like them!

As for the camera, the digital I use is a Nikon Coolpix 5700. Read as many reviews as you can on the cameras you are looking at. My husband researched this one before getting it for me for Christmas. Now, granted, I would have a bigger, fancier one if I could, but for the money and the awesome $150 rebate we got, this is a great camera. I love it! My film camera is a Nikon N80 (love those Nikons!). I've posted a few pictures from that one, so I thought I'd give you that info as well.

The 2nd one looks supernatural, like something out of a sci-fi movie. So cool!

Having never taken pictures of smaller fireworks before, I had no idea how they would turn out. When this one came up on the screen, I was so excited at the result and called my nephew over who, like, me, said, "Coooooool."

Wow...one too many commas there. It was supposed to be, "...who, like me, said..." Doh.

I concur - the coolness is validated.

I love the second pic. Although, with the War of the Worlds remake out in theaters, it kind of looks like one of those alien ray beams come to destroy us all! ;) Neat pic!

What is Leaning Tripod?

My photoblog began in early 2005. I am very passionate about photography, but more about 'the eye' of it than the technical side. I love to share my view of the world, and this is the small space where I choose to do just that.
